Friday Farm Support

Meet in front of the barn promptly at 8:30 AM.

Join us for a morning of gardening at the Agraria farm! This week's activity: Hugelkulture! 

On July 29th, we'll be learning about Hugelkulture, the German regenerative method, and building a Hugelkulure bed. 

Hugelkulture is a no-till, raised bed method that uses decaying wood and other biomass that provides the raised bed with organic material, nutrients and air pockets for a thriving soil life teaming with the required organisms for a healthy, productive growing environment.

Start your morning with River Johnson and volunteer in the gardens at Agraria. You will be working on weeding, planting, pruning, mulching, and much more. You'll help to bring the George Washington Carver Practice Farm site to life. No previous experience is required and all ages are welcome!

We recommend you bring a water bottle and wear long pants. Closed-toe shoes are required. We will provide training, tools, and gloves.
