Kick Off for the Giving Garden Challenge

Session 1 - 10:00 am-12:00 pm

Session 2 - 12:30 pm-2:30 pm

The 2021 “Giving Garden” Challenge will ask participants to complete tasks by way of friendly competition that encourages donating food, reducing water usage, restoring biodiversity and other sustainable and regenerative growing practices. This kick off will include workshops on raised bed gardening, composting, organic urban gardening, and more! There will also be tours of Agraria, a plant sale, and lunch from local food truck La Pampa Grill!

Rain Barrels and Rain Gardens - By Montgomery County Soil and Water District

Raised Beds Gardening - By Agraria

Pollinator Garden in a Pot – By Five Rivers MetroParks

Agraria Garden Tours (at top of the hour and half past throughout the day)

Carbon Farming Presentation @ 10:15 am and 12:45 pm

Pollinator Garden Presentation @ 1:15 pm

Rain Barrel Kits for Sale *

*Provided by Montgomery County Soil and Water District. Limited amount available. Individual rain barrel $40, single barrel kit $40, single rain barrel & kit $75.
