Learn How To Can
Before refrigeration made it possible to freeze meat and vegetables, our ancestors dried, smoked, pickled, and "canned"-- sealing prepared foods in glass jars to preserve them. Abundant seasonal fruits meant making jams and jellies for Winter nutrition. Autumn is apple season.
We invite you to experience the joy of making and preserving your own darkly delicious apple butter with Agraria staff, Tia Stuart and OC Daboiku at Trotwood Community and Cultural Arts Center on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
Participants will cook under supervision and depart with their own product and recipe. Session fee is $10 for the two-hour workshop; all supplies are provided. Register early as class size is limited to 15.
